| Welcome
to E-VINE, A Branch of our Grapevine Newsletter!
|
|
So much has happened this
year already!!
We are on the Move!
We
moved in early January and temporarily got settled
into our new location in Billings,
Montana, USA. We played “catch up” with
a few tasks; we sent year end statements to our
supporters and we audited our Children’s
Sponsorship Program. We did not have everyone’s address
on file to mail the necessary documents, because
quite a few people send donations electronically,
so we only have their e-mail address.
Here is a good indicator; If you did not
receive, in the US mail, the Grapevine Newsletter
in late December, then we need your mailing address.
If you missed our newsletter you can click here to view our first 12 page edition!
Communications is our goal!
We
upgraded our computer technology to web based
for our accounting and our data base systems.
This allows access as needed by our team
from throughout the world. Presently, our all volunteer staff
is located in Uganda,
California, Montana,
Texas, and Oklahoma.
The Mission!
We
left for Uganda
on March 31, 2008 and started our five month journey. We are taking inventory of all the
needs and are planning on quite a few things that
need to be addressed. The
scope of this ministry is quite a bit larger than
what some people may realize.

The Greatest Tour Guide!
Much
of this trip, we have been led by faith. Jesus makes a great tour guide.
It is interesting and He always has a surprise
waiting around the corner. He allows for some great interactions
from the tour group by letting us step up and
take action when we encounter a situation. He shows himself through other people
and sometimes I think He is just simply saying
“I am here, recognize Me.” Amen!

Come
to the MOUNTAIN of the LORD |
The Children’s Center is growing! Jireh Ministries, Uganda recently purchased
30 acres of land adjacent to the Children’s
Center. One reason was to maintain access
to the main road.
(See photo)
The property was being blocked from access
as you will see in the picture. It shows the main gate opening to
a fence across the old road.
The properties that adjoin the center
were being bought by the local Muslims and were
physically shutting off access. This now gives
us room for growth as well as continued access.
Pastor Grace made a deal to purchase the land
and said the Lord Will Provide. He had no idea
(from who on earth) where the money would come
from, and we had no idea where the money
would come from, but the Lord knew! By the grace
of God we were able to send $14,000.00 USD because
of a few donations received specifically for
this land!
I
pray; Lord, please help us all to have a portion
of that kind of faith!
The
total land purchase was $20,000.00, so we just
had a few more thousand to go, and it too was
donated.
As
anyone who has been here will tell you, the
view on top of this mountain is majestic! You
can turn around and see beautiful scenery in
a full circle as far as the eye can see!
Golf
Tournament!
We
have our first golf tournament scheduled for
November! We will keep you posted!

Pennies
can really add up!
We can make a penny every time you search the internet!
Or a percentage for every purchase you made on
line can go to support our cause! |
GoodSearch.com
is a new Yahoo-powered search engine that donates
half its advertising revenue, about a penny
per search, to the charities its users designate.
Use it just the way you would any search engine,
get quality search results from Yahoo, and watch
the donations add up!
Just
go to www.goodsearch.com and be sure
to enter Jireh Ministries Foundation, Inc as
the charity you wish to support. And, be sure
to spread the word! It really works; we have
been using it and have racked up nearly ten
dollars since February.
If we multiply that by over 600 supporters,
that can add up to over $1800.00 per month with
no money out of anyone’s pocket! Now,
that is easy! You don’t have to give up your
favorite search engine completely, just use
as a basic search engine at first to give it
a try. You
really don’t have anything to lose.

Praise
reports:
We
received a specific donation for $2000.00 for Concrete floors for the
classrooms at Jireh Children’s Center
in Kyabazala for the primary school classrooms.
This will help to prevent chiggers
entering the children’s feet. This
has become a real problem for the children
and the adults. The children are constantly
scratching and it is hard for them to concentrate
on their school work. This can also cause
infections.

The
Vocational Carpentry School will be opening this term. The tables and work benches are
being made, tools have been donated and
we have instructors lined up.
We have a grant writer
who
has joined our team to search for administrative
and operational funds for this ministry.
Along with Project funding that may
be available.
Jim & Robyn have
been healthy while on their mission trip in Uganda.

Pray for The H208 Water
Project! For the construction of a water well on the mountain. http://hewillprovide.blogspot.com/2008/05/h208-project.html
We
will have clean, dependable water that will
not need to be boiled and eliminate the
cost of government water

Pray for a school truck
to transport supplies up & down the mountain. This will eliminate some of the
costs of transportation when it is hired out. This could also provide income for
the school if we hire out our truck &
driver to make local freight deliveries.
Transportation is a very big need here!
